Kim Bell is the Founder and Lead Counselor at It's A New Day Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor for Counselor Associates in Texas.  Kim has over 20 years of professional experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families faced with anxiety, depression, adjustments, and transitions such as divorce, separation, or grief. She has experience working with attention deficits, challenging behaviors, low self-esteem, and anger control issues. She combines her clinical counseling expertise with her sincere desire to reduce suffering to offer clients a unique perspective of problem-solving.

Before private practice, Kim worked at several agencies that provided community-based intervention programming. She has eight years of in-home counseling experience. She worked with children and parents to address challenging behaviors. She worked with adolescents who were on probation and struggling to successfully manage their lives at home, at school, and in the community. Kim worked with caregivers, caring for a loved one with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, to help them manage stress.

Kim enjoys working with female adults. Specialties include depression, anxiety, grief, caregiver stress, ADHD, anger management, career-related issues, individual/personal coaching, life transitions, and employee assistance.

Kim Bell has an MA degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and an undergraduate BS degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Communicative Disorders with a minor in Speech Communication. She has served on the Board of her local Toastmasters group and enjoys public speaking on a variety of topics. She is a Certified Senior Advisor and Dementia Care Specialist.
